Healthier minds start with caring communities.
We are a community-based organisation working to make mental health support free, close to home and free of stigma.
Born from listening.
MindWell Community began when neighbours realised how many people were quietly struggling, and how few places existed to talk about it.
What started as informal conversations grew into a trusted organisation offering counselling, peer groups, school programs and practical skills training. Today we work alongside families, schools, local leaders and health providers to make sure support is never out of reach.
Our work is guided by one belief: when a community understands mental health and looks after each other, everyone is stronger.

Our mission
To provide accessible, confidential and compassionate mental health support, and to build resilient communities through education, peer connection and practical skills.
Our vision
A community where every person understands their mental health, feels safe to ask for help and receives the care they need to live well.
The values behind our work.
Compassion
We listen first and respond with warmth and patience.
Integrity
We are honest, accountable and transparent in our work.
Inclusion
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, gender, belief or background.
Confidentiality
We protect the privacy and safety of the people we serve.
Collaboration
We work with families, schools, leaders and health services.
Empowerment
We build skills and confidence that last beyond a single visit.
Growing step by step.
Where it began
A small group of volunteers began hosting community talks on mental health and wellbeing.
First support groups
Peer support groups opened and our first trained counsellors joined the team.
Schools and girls programs
We expanded into schools and launched dignity and skills support for girls.
Growing with the community
Counselling, groups, training and livelihoods programs run side by side.
